Secure File Upload Submission Instructions

Secure file upload is a safe way to transmit your annual reporting files to STRS Ohio. This application uses Secure Socket Layers (SSL).

File Format and Name

The file must be in text (.txt) format and follow the annual reporting record layout. Do not encrypt your file. Encrypted files will be rejected. Maximum file size is 15 MB.

The filename will be the four-digit STRS Ohio employer number followed by fy23. For example:

  • c005fy23.txt
  • 9214fy23.txt

Note: Use only one period in the filename. Filenames with more than one period will be rejected.

If you need to retransmit a file, please call the STRS Ohio Employer Reporting Department toll-free at 888‑535‑4050 for instructions.

File Upload Procedures

Access secure file upload on the employer website.

Step 1
