Misinformation About Retirement Research Study

STRS Ohio has received numerous questions from confused members about an alleged study from the Boston College Center for Retirement Research (CRR). The Director of Local Research for CRR proactively contacted STRS Ohio stating, “This email is to let you know that the CRR has been receiving individual inquiries from OH STRS members about a CRR analysis ranking Ohio TRS as the worst pension plan. Please know that the CRR has not produced any such analysis or study.”

It is our understanding that CRR has reached out to two of the groups responsible for the incorrect information and asked those groups to remove attribution to CRR.
