Plan options

All STRS Ohio plans include medical and prescription coverage.

Medical coverage is administered by Aetna and prescription coverage is administered by CVS Caremark (CVS). For prescription coverage, enrollees with Medicare are covered by SilverScript, a Medicare Part D plan. SilverScript is an affiliate of CVS. Non-Medicare enrollees are covered by CVS.

Your plans and premiums are listed in the personalized list of options you may have received from STRS Ohio. If you do not have a personalized list, you can view your plan options in your Online Personal Account or call us at 888‑227‑7877 (toll-free).

The plans available to you are determined by your Medicare status on file with STRS Ohio and Medicare. If your most recent eligibility is not on file, your plan options may differ from those listed in your personalized list or your Online Personal Account.

• Individuals eligible for Medicare can choose the Aetna Medicare Plan or Aetna Basic Plan. (The Aetna Medicare Plan has lower premiums and out-of-pocket costs than the Aetna Basic Plan.)
• The only plan option for individuals not eligible for Medicare is the Aetna Basic Plan.
